Saraland has the feel of a smaller, settled community while still being part of the larger Mobile metro area. Ten municipal parks, a civic center, and events like the annual Christmas Parade give it a genuine small city rhythm. The city has been investing in itself too. A new 95,000 square foot municipal complex opened in June 2025, and the commercial side keeps filling in with additions like Briquettes Steakhouse, LongHorn Steakhouse, Chick-fil-A, and Rural King, plus Saraland Crossings anchored by Publix for the everyday errands.

Saraland Elementary earned an A+ and was named the #1 Niche Standout Elementary School in Alabama, and Saraland High School carries an A grade and the state’s top district ranking for athletes.
